Industrial Visit To Crowne Plaza Hotel, Rohini
Industrial visits are considered important occasions for a student who is pursuing a professional degree. It may be held as an additional activity or as a part of the curriculum. The objective of an industrial visit is to provide students an insight regarding internal working systems of industries.
An industrial visit to a 5 Star hotel was organized by the college for B. Sc. HHA and NCHM Diploma students with an aim to provide them an opportunity to explore different revenue and non-revenue departments like Food Production, F&B Service, Front Office, Housekeeping and other departments like HR ,Engineering & SPA etc. of a hotel. The students started at 10:00 am from the college in a bus and went to Rohini, New Delhi to visit hotel Crowne Plaza New Delhi Rohini. They reached there by 12:15 pm and they were received by the HR Executive Ms. . All the students were divided into two groups and started to take round of the different departments of the hotel from 12:30 onwards. They saw the front of the house areas of the hotel first including the hotel lobby, Mosaic, Spice Art restaurants, Connexions Bar and the banquet halls of the hotel. They also saw different types of guest rooms of the hotel. It took two hours for them to visit different areas and be briefed by the department heads on the available equipment and operational aspects. At the end of the visit, all students were addressed by the HR executive.
Thus, the purpose of the visit was served as an industrial visit helps to combine theoretical knowledge with practical knowledge. Industrial realities are opened to the students through industrial visits.
