TRIP TO DEHRADUN & MUSSOORIE TO STUDY RESORT AND HILL ARCHITECTURE
As per the requirement of Architectural design project, students has to design a Tourist Resort on hilly terrain, for the case study of the project 45 Architecture student of 2nd Year along with faculties Ar. Shashi Singh, Ar. Akshita Bhatt and Ar. Nitin Sharma were taken to Dehradun & Mussoorie for three day trip on 5 th April. Students visited Forest Research Institute (F.R.I.) at Dehradun on first day which is one of the oldest institutions of its kind. FRI building houses 6 different Museum, one of them was Timber Museum which exhibits the best-known and most common commercial woods. Next day Student thoroughly enjoyed the pleasant weather and scenic beauty of Mall Road and did site analysis for the resort project, at Mussoorie. The trip completed with students taking stroll to the Kempty Fall and later did live case-study of Kempty Resort near the Kempty Falls .The trip proved to be a great learning experience as it added knowledge of Hill architecture to the students.
