Sunder deep college of Architecture invited eminent architect and conservation planner “Ar. Aishwarya Tipnis “for expert lecture on Urban Conservation on 23rd April 2019. All faculty members and students of architecture department were there to attend the lecture.

Prof. Rakesh Sapra, Director SDCA, welcomed the distinguished speaker and Ar. Shilpa Jain highlighted the achievements of Ar. Aishwarya Tipnis, who is an alumnus of School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi, India with a Specialisation in European Urban Conservation from University of Dundee, Scotland in 2007 and is a recipient of the UNESCO Award for Heritage Conservation in Asia- Pacific Region 2016. Also, Principal architect of eponymous architectural firm ATA in Delhi, which works towards making past relevant to the future.

In her lecture, Ar. Aishwarya Tipnis, talked about the importance of urban heritage and urban conservation. She discussed many of her famous conservation projects, which were instrumental in helping the students to understand the process conservation. She interacted with the students and acquainted them with the various tools and method of urban conservation. She even encouraged students to attend a workshop “Jugaadopolis: Sustainism Workshop at Delhi in June which will conducted by ATA in association with Reinwardt Academy, Amsterdam University of Art and Sustanism Lab. The guest lecture saw a good response from the faculties and students of architecture. To conclude the session, Ar. Anjali Kawatra, Dean SDCA presented the vote of thanks on behalf of SDCA
