Sunder Deep Pharmacy College Organized Pre-Induction Program Abhinandan 2020 held online on 11th November 2020. The event was graced by Mr. Jamil Ahmad, Director General Sunder Deep Group of Institutions and honorable chief guest Dr. Govind Sharma, Ex. Chief National Research Development Corporation, an enterprise of DSIR Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. The event started with the welcome address of Dr. Shalini Sharma, Director SDPC. She wished all the new entrants a successful academic journey ahead. The session was moderated by Dr. Neeti Srivastav, Associate Professor SDPC.
Dr. Govind Sharma congratulated students for opting pharmacy as a profession and entering into the world of a prosperous career. Further he emphasized that even during this pandemic conditions prevailing in the country, the pharmaceutical industry has never seen recession. It is an ever growing industry and demand for pharmacists is increasing day by day. He advised students to study for seeking the knowledge and not just for the sake of passing examination as life goes with knowledge only.
He stressed on to create your own space to survive in the market and let others appreciate your value. He further talked about the protection of ideas in the form of patents in a very simple and interesting manner. The role or avenues of the pharmacists in various sectors with special emphasis on R&D were taken care of. He advised students to come up with new ideas, to protect it and be winners of this industry. It was an interactive session followed by the queries of the students.
Vote of thanks was delivered by Mr. Jamil Ahmad, Director General SDGI. He assured students for an academically fruitful career at SDPC and advised them to build an emotional as well as social quotient. He asked students to work in a manner so as to feel your parents proud. All the students, faculty and staff members of SDPC attended the session and made it successful. The program was coordinated by Dr. Anita Singh, HOD, B.Pharm, Mr. Abhinit Chaudhary, HOD D.Pharm and Ms. Monika Saxena, Assistant Professor SDPC.
