Electrical Engineering

Electrical Engineering Department is established in year 2013 with the intake of 60 seats. The Department is keen to develop environment of study in Power Quality, Renewable Energy Sources, Smart Grids, Power System Operation and Control, Power System Dynamics and Stability, Flexible A. C. Transmission Systems (FACTS), Electrical Drives and Hybrid Electric Vehicles. To cater the needs of experimentation the department has well-equipped laboratories in the area of Electrical Machines, Control Systems, Microprocessors and Instrumentation &Measurements. The department also owes to take-up the challenges of providing efficient Electrical Systems and Energy Sources. The students are motivated for technical and creative activities besides classroom teaching and Laboratory exercises. They are also encouraged to participate in various group learning and discussion activities in addition to presentation of seminar and group discussion presentations on individual basis. Emphasis is laid on computer based assignments through modelling and simulation of various Electrical Systems in well-equipped laboratories.

There is a Robotics Automation Lab in Electrical Engineering department.Department is a pioneer department for providing Industrial Automation Training in PLC (Programmable Logic Controller), SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition), Motor’s, Drives
