Sunder Deep Group of Institutions organized the Alumni Meet “Maitrey-2019” on 24.02.19 (Sunday) in SDGI premises. The alumni meet is conducted every year in order to reconnect with the Alumni and celebrate their success and various achievements. More than 400 alumni all around the country participated in this meeting.
The Alumni Meet started with an invocation song seeking the blessings of almighty. To start the occasion on an auspicious note, the Chief guest Prof. A.P. Mittal, Member Secretary AICTE, Sh. M. K. Seth, Chief General Manager, ALTTC, Ghaziabad, Sh. Vinay Gupta Executive Director, GMA proceeded for the lightning of the lamp, accompanied by Honorable Chairman Sh. Mahendra Agrawal, Vice Chirman Sh. Akhil Agrawal and Executive Director, Dr. Anju Saxena,.
Executive Director, Dr. Anju Saxena, welcomed all the dignitaries and all the alumni for responding to the invitation from college and being present for the alumni meet in spite of their busy schedule. She then proceeded with presenting the college report highlighting the various milestones reached in the past years.
Distinguished Guests enlightened the alumnus with their rich experiences & inspired them for determined move towards their aspirations. An opportunity was given to all alumni to share their experiences on their journey in SDGI and its impact in their career. Some of them reminisced about their stay in their hostel. Many valuable suggestions on the future directions for research & teaching priorities in SDGI also shared.
The new office bearers of the Alumni Association were elected and the formal announcement of the next alumni meet was also done. It was indeed heartening to see so many alumni especially from the initial batches, come and share their experiences and guide their juniors to en-cash their time in SDGI. All alumni were presented with a memento as a token of love.
All in all, the evening resulted in sharing of reminiscent time, new networks built, rich experience shared and a lot of appreciation conveyed by the alumni to SDGI for such an exemplary event organized. The all pervasive feeling of the occasion is extracted in a line “Education is what survives, after you’ve forgotten what you memorize.”
